The shape of eyebrows can change your entire look, so it is very important to take special care with shaping them. There are a number of professional methods for shaping the eyebrows but eyebrow waxing is considered to be the most effective. The major benefit of opting for eyebrow waxing is that it can remove the hair at the root and provide you with long-lasting results.
What Can I Expect?
You can opt for soft wax or hard wax for shaping your eyebrows depending upon your skin type. If you have a sensitive skin, then it is highly recommended to use hard wax as soft wax may cause discomfort for sensitive skin. But for normal skin, soft wax is the perfect solution for eyebrow shaping.
- To start, your eyebrows are prepped for waxing. The Esthetician uses a small brush to comb your eyebrow into the desired shape and separate the hairs that are to be removed from the rest of the brow.
- A topical astringent is applied to the area around the shaped brow in order to anesthetize the area to be waxed.
- The wax is applied to the desired area with a small applicator and a muslin strip is placed over the wax. Pressure is applied for a few seconds and then the strip is pulled away in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
- Once the hair is removed and any residual wax is cleaned off, a topical moisturizer is applied to soothe the skin and reduce redness.
Having your brows waxed is more efficient and longer lasting than plucking alone.
