Eyebrow Waxing

The shape of your eyebrows can change your entire look, so it is important to take special care when shaping them. There are several professional methods for shaping the eyebrows—plucking, threading waxing, shaving—but eyebrow waxing is considered to be the most effective. The major benefit of opting for eyebrow waxing is that it can remove the hair at the root and provide you with long-lasting results.

Eyebrow Waxing at Brandon Essentials

You can opt for soft wax or hard wax for shaping your eyebrows depending upon your skin type. If you have a sensitive skin, then it is highly recommended to use hard wax to minimize inflammation. For normal skin, soft wax is the perfect solution for eyebrow shaping. Regardless of the wax to be used, the process for eyebrow waxing at Brandon Essentials generally follows the following steps:
  • Eyebrows are prepped for waxing. The esthetician uses a small brush to comb the eyebrow into the desired shape and separate the hairs to be removed from the rest of the brow.
  • A topical astringent is applied to the area around the shaped brow to anesthetize the area to be waxed for optimal client comfort.
  • (Soft Wax) The wax is applied to the desired area with a small applicator and a muslin strip is placed over the wax. Pressure is applied for a few seconds and then the strip is pulled away in the opposite direction of the hair growth. (Hard Wax) A thin application of hard wax is applied to the hairs marked for removal. The wax is given a few moments to harden and is then pulled away from the skin, pulling the hairs from the root.
  • Once the hair is removed and any residual wax is cleaned off, a topical moisturizer is applied to soothe the skin and reduce redness.
