What Happens During a Brazilian Waxing Appointment?
During your first visit, your Brandon Essentials esthetician will provide an overview of the whole process, so you know what to expect from start to finish. Our estheticians are extremely professional and well-trained. There is no need to feel embarrassed or nervous, and every effort will be made to make you feel as comfortable as if you were at home.
Soft wax is applied with a waxing spatula before being removed using a muslin strip. Unlike bikini waxes, Brazilian waxes require the use soft wax because the hair is extra coarse and it grows in different directions, making the removal with soft wax less painful.
Before arriving for a Brazilian wax, we ask that our clients trim their pubic hair to half an inch. The shorter length makes the removal process more efficient (and less painful than waxing longer hairs), but clients should ensure that they don't trim too short, otherwise the wax may not be able to grab the hairs.
After the waxing is complete, and all hairs have been removed, a small amount of baby powder is applied to reduce any redness or swelling in the treated area. Baby powder has a natural cooling property which helps to eliminate any irritation that waxing may have caused.
